THE SPARK UNFOLDING BOOK CLUB FOUR-WEEK READING SCHEDULE This is a flexible rhythm. Adjust page ranges to the length of the selected book. Rest days, slower weeks, and rereading remain part of thoughtful reading. WEEK ONE — ENTER Purpose: Meet the book on its own terms. Day 1: Read the title, front matter, introduction, and opening pages. Day 2: Continue the first section. Record one observable detail. Day 3: Read at a comfortable pace. Mark one sentence to revisit. Day 4: Pause. Summarize what has happened without interpretation. Day 5: Continue reading. Notice voice, setting, structure, or central question. Day 6: Complete the week’s assigned section. Day 7: Rest, reread, or write one paragraph beginning, “I am entering this book through…” WEEK TWO — DEEPEN Purpose: Notice patterns, tensions, and emerging meaning. Day 8: Begin the second quarter of the book. Day 9: Track a repeated image, question, choice, or theme. Day 10: Read and record where your attention slowed. Day 11: Pause for one companion-journal prompt. Day 12: Continue reading with attention to change. Day 13: Complete the week’s assigned section. Day 14: Name one interpretation and the evidence supporting it. WEEK THREE — INTEGRATE Purpose: Let the reading meet lived experience without reducing the book to advice. Day 15: Begin the third quarter. Day 16: Notice a character, idea, or passage that challenges easy certainty. Day 17: Read and mark one place of recognition. Day 18: Ask, “What does this help me understand more clearly?” Day 19: Continue reading. Distinguish insight from immediate action. Day 20: Complete the week’s assigned section. Day 21: Write what remains unresolved or alive. WEEK FOUR — CARRY Purpose: Finish with attention and choose one humane next movement. Day 22: Begin the final quarter. Day 23: Notice how early questions have changed. Day 24: Read without rushing toward the ending. Day 25: Mark one sentence worth carrying. Day 26: Complete the book. Day 27: Review notes, bookmarks, and journal entries. Day 28: Complete: What I understand now; what remains open; what I will carry forward.
