A reflection practice to carry
- Notice: Which sentence or idea remains with you?
- Name: What does it illuminate in your present life?
- Move: Which humane action could give that insight form?
Name the season with honesty
Begin with description before decision. What has changed shape? Which familiar role, rhythm, relationship, or expectation feels different? What remains steady? Write the season as you experience it rather than as others might summarize it.
Prompt: If this chapter had a private title, what would it reveal about where I am now?
Honor endings and unfinished feelings
Transition can hold relief, sorrow, anticipation, fatigue, anger, gratitude, and possibility on the same page. Give each feeling room without asking it to become a lesson.
Prompt: What deserves to be thanked, grieved, completed, or released with care? Which part remains unfinished, and what kind of attention does it need?
Listen for the emerging self
Notice the qualities, desires, and forms of courage becoming more visible. Ask where your energy expands and where your voice grows quieter. These patterns can offer evidence about the life asking for room.
Prompt: Who am I becoming when I release performance and listen for the truest available answer?
Choose support and movement
Alignment grows through support as well as action. Name the people, spaces, boundaries, information, and rest that would help this season unfold with integrity.
Prompt: What is one movement I can practice this week, and what support will help me carry it? Return after several days to record what the movement taught.
Common questions
How often should I journal during transition?
Use a cadence that supports attention and rest. Short entries several times each week can reveal meaningful patterns.
What if I have no clear next step?
Write from the clearest present truth and choose a small experiment that can offer new information.
Should I reread old entries?
Periodic review can reveal recurring language, growth, and questions that continue to deserve attention.
